Biography
Dragoș Turea (b. 1980, Chișinău) is a Romanian-Moldovan filmmaker whose work is rooted in mythorealism - a personal cinematic language where historical investigation, political absurdity and myth collide. His feature debut, The Soviet Garden, premiered in competition at the Sarajevo Film Festival and went on to screen at numerous festivals worldwide. His films include Ultimate Weapon and Lenin’s Pawn, both shaped by dark humour and stories from the Soviet past that often seem too improbable to be real.
