Christopher Barnett is a re-recording mixer at Skywalker Sound, whose work spans documentary features, episodic television, animation, virtual reality, and special-venue projects, based at the renowned Northern California facility. Barnett's documentary work includes Dirty Wars (2013), which earned the Motion Picture Sound Editors Golden Reel Award for Best Sound Editing in a Documentary Feature Film, shared with Brandon Proctor. He later received Golden Reel nominations for Bully (2011), Racing Extinction (2015), Icarus (2017), The Apollo (2019), John Lewis: Good Trouble (2020), and Rebuilding Paradise (2020). His sound editing contributions have also been acknowledged for episodic nonfiction television, including Mars (2016), episode "Novo Mundo", which earned a Cinema Audio Society nomination shared with Roy Waldspurger and Jason Butler. Beyond documentaries, Barnett has contributed to high-profile animation and franchise projects, receiving Golden Reel nominations for Despicable Me (2010), The Little Prince (2015), Ferdinand (2017), and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014). He was part of the team that won the Golden Reel Award for Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series – Episode I (2019), a special venue project recognised for its comprehensive sound editing across effects, Foley, music, dialogue, and ADR. More recently, his work on Music by John Williams (2024) earned nominations from the Cinema Audio Society, the Primetime Emmy Awards, and the Motion Picture Sound Editors.
