Dr. Premasiri Khemadasa (1937–2008), widely known as "Khemadasa Master," was a pioneering Sri Lankan composer who revolutionized the island's musical landscape. He is celebrated for creating a unique "Sri Lankan sound" by fusing traditional Sinhala folk music and Indian ragas with Western classical structures and harmonies.
